In 1978 Australian surfer Brian Smith moved to Southern California with a dream. He designed a product unlike any other with sheepskin, his favorite material, and the Classic UGG Boot was born. By the mid-1980s, UGG became a symbol of the SoCal beach culture and gained momentum through surf shops across California. UGG has since expanded beyond the classic boot to design additional footwear, apparel, accessories, and even homeware with an uncompromising attitude toward quality, creativity, and craftsmanship.
